Ingeborg Larssen, Adrianna Papp and Tanja Golubić | New Women for a New World
In the latest video of our “Women of Minorities” project, three politicians from Norway, Slovakia and Croatia share what it means to be politically active as women, mothers and members of national minorities.
Ingeborg Larssen, a Sámi lawyer from northern Norway, talks about structural barriers and unequal starting conditions – and why women in politics should talk about more than just land and resource rights.
Adrianna Papp, from the Hungarian minority in Slovakia, stepped into her late mother’s role as mayor, a dedicated local politician, unexpectedly and without preparation, but with a strong sense of responsibility.
And Tanja Golubić, representative of the Czech minority in Croatia, was elected as the only woman and the youngest member of a political body. She continued her path despite doubts, a baby and prejudice.
All three are united by the will to create change and by the desire to inspire other women to walk their own path.
